Brandon Saho will open Day 2 of the 2026 Summit on Behavioral Health in Energy Country with The Mental Game, a powerful, interactive keynote experience designed to move the conversation into action.
A former sports reporter who publicly confronted his own battle with depression and suicidal thoughts, Brandon transformed his pain into purpose. After seeking therapy and hospital care in 2022, he founded The Mental Game, a platform dedicated to breaking stigma through honest, high-impact dialogue.
His program is more than a story. It is an evidence-informed, skills-based experience developed in collaboration with mental health professionals and the Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation. Participants will learn practical strategies for emotional regulation, stress management, resilience, and recognizing when to seek support for themselves or others.
Through powerful interview footage from public figures who have spoken openly about mental health, Brandon normalizes struggle while modeling courage. The session concludes with an open forum discussion and opportunity for connection, reinforcing that healing happens in community.
In a region where isolation, workforce stress, and stigma often silence needed conversations, Brandon’s message is both timely and necessary. He does not offer platitudes. He offers language, tools, and a shared commitment to saving lives through honest conversation.
