Western North Dakota Energy Project
Shale Projection Webinar Series
We are producing a series of webinars designed to extend projections of drilling, employment, and population from two credible sources to the oil-producing counties of western North Dakota. State and county level models have been created by Lynn Helms of the ND Department of Mineral Resources and by Nancy Hodur and Dean Bangsund of North Dakota State University. Boom and Bust
What we can learn from others' experiences?
The primary outcome for the Western North Dakota Energy Project (WNDEP) is to evolve a consensus about how to more effectively deal with short-term and long-term issues resulting from rapid growth. The WNDEP is funded by a Bush Foundation grant to Dickinson State University's Strom Center. The project has partnered with the Vision West ND Consortium to create a larger dialogue group in which the discovery and dialogue facilitation process will enable consensus strategies to emerge.
The briefings resulting from this project are available for viewing and review below. More briefings will be added as they become available.
